The Ontario Ospreys have announced their squad for the upcoming Canada Women’s National Championship set to be held later this year.

The squad selection follows the recently contested Ontario Women’s Championship, featuring the Toronto Valkyrie, Waterloo Wyverns and Ottawa Tigers last month and the Gold v Teal trial game held last weekend.

From the matches, four debutants have been selected to join the squad, these being entre Genevieve Promesse (Toronto Valkyrie), winger Hannah Beaumont (Waterloo Wyverns), fullback Isabella McPhee (Toronto Valkyrie), and second rower Jessie Brusch (Ottawa Tigers).

The Ospreys will be captained by Candace Scholten and Sara Canini, with experienced Raven, Petra Woods, featuring in the squad.

The national championship will see the Ospreys face the Alberta Broncos and British Columbia Storm and will be used as a selection trial for the Canada Ravens for the upcoming Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
