The INTL Women’s Rugby League 9s tournament in Hawaii is set for a significant expansion in 2025, broadening its reach to include teams from Australia and New Zealand, and introducing U16 boys’ and girls’ competitions.
Following a successful launch in 2024, the INTL (It’s Never Too Late) group continues its commitment to growing the sport in the United States. The organization, which has been active in developing the game since inception, conducting multiple training clinics in Honolulu and Salt Lake City last year, in addition to successfully hosting their inaugural Women’s Nines tournament in Hawaii.
The 2024 Nines tournament featured teams representing the New York State Queens, Los Angeles Mongrel, Roots Rugby, and an INTL Combined team, with the 2025 tournament promises to be even bigger and better.
The 2025 INTL Rugby League 9s tournament will take place at Kapi’olani Regional Park in Honolulu on Saturday, October 11. In addition to the tournament, a junior clinic for the U16 teams, engaging with local communities and schools in Honolulu, will be held from Monday, October 6.
This expansion demonstrates INTL’s dedication to developing rugby league at all levels, from grassroots to international competition with the addition of U16 divisions underscores INTL’s commitment to nurturing young talent and ensuring the future of rugby league in Hawaii.
